The Famous Jaffa Street of Jerusalem
Jaffa street, or Jaffa road, is one of the major streets in the Jerusalem and many city landmarks can be found along the way such as the Jerusalem Mahane Yehuda Market, Zion Square, the Old City walls and the municipality of Jerusalem situated on Safra Square. Jaffa Road has been closed to vehicular traffic since the establishment of the Jerusalem Light Rail and has been considerably redone to beautify and upgrade the Jerusalem downtown area. Cafes, fashion shops, bars and restaurants now adorn Jaffa road along the way and pedestrians can now enjoy a pleasant stroll down this historic road which lead to Jaffa during the Ottoman period.
