JERUSALEM in the BOOK OF PSALMS:
Let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth, If I remember thee not; If I prefer not Jerusalem Above my chief joy.Remember, O Jehovah, against the children of Edom The day of Jerusalem; Who said, Rase it, raise it, Even to the foundation thereof.Jehovah doth build up Jerusalem; He gathereth together the outcasts of Israel.Praise Jehovah, O Jerusalem; Praise thy God, O Zion.Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion: Build thou the walls of Jerusalem.Because of thy temple at Jerusalem Kings shall bring presents unto thee.O God, the nations are come into thine inheritance;Thy holy temple have they defiled; They have laid Jerusalem in heaps.Their blood have they shed like water round about Jerusalem; And there was none to bury them.That men may declare the name of Jehovah in Zion, And his praise in Jerusalem;Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: They shall prosper that love thee.As the mountains are round about Jerusalem,So Jehovah is round about his people From this time forth and for evermore. Jehovah bless thee out of Zion: And see thou the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life.Blessed be Jehovah out of Zion, Who dwelleth at Jerusalem.Praise ye Jehovah.If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, Let my right hand forget her skill.In the courts of Jehovah's house, In the midst of thee, O Jerusalem. Praise ye Jehovah.Our feet are standing Within thy gates, O Jerusalem,Jerusalem, that art builded As a city that is compact together;
