The Christian Quarter in the old city of Jerusalem is the second largest of all the four quarters and can be located in the northwestern portion of the city. It is considered as the epicenter of Christianity as it houses the Holy Sepulchre. It is the most popular quarter among locals and tourists and the most visited as well. It can be found just beyond the main entrance to the Old City, Jaffa Gate.

The quarter has the closest access through the New Gate with its location that begins from the northwest going to the western portion of the city up to the Jaffa Gate. Hence, you can enter the Christian Quarter via these two portals. This is the best quarter to visit for Christian pilgrims from all over the world so expect that it is also among the most crowded areas in the old city square.
