Located on Nablus Road in East Jerusalem, St. George's Cathedral is an Anglican Episcopalian church. Serving as a college and a pilgrim's hostel, the original building was constructed in 1898. The St. George's Cathedral is also the seat of the Episcopalian Bishop of Jerusalem and the Middle East. Currently, St. George's Cathedral functions mostly as a college, offering clergy and laity education for students from around the world.
