The Muslim Quarter in Jerusalem
The Muslim Quarter in the Old City of Jerusalem was until 1929 inhabited by Muslims, Jews and Christians. During the 1929 Palestinian riots, Jews were driven out of the Muslim Quarter in the Old City of Jerusalem. The Muslim Quarter includes a vibrant Market with wonderful authentic Jerusalem food, sweets and merchandise. The Muslim Market leads to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and Western Wall and can be entered from Jaffa Gate or Damascus Gate.
