Mababa Map in Jerusalem
The Madaba Mosaic Map is a sixth century artistic and cartographic rendition of the Middle East, the Holy Land and Jerusalem. Located in the Church of Saint George in Jordan, it is the oldest existing map of the city of Jerusalem. The Madaba Map has served archeologists and researchers in identifying Jerusalem's many historic and religious sites, including the Cardo and Nea Church which are depicted in the map. A replica of the Madaba Map is also on display at the Jerusalem YMCA.
