Jesus in Jerusalem
Known as the Holy City in Christianity, Islam and Judaism, Jerusalem is particularly special to Christian believers as its history is bound with the story of Jesus. Jesus entered Jerusalem after staying at Bethany and Bethphage, and it was in Jerusalem that he was sentenced, crucified and resurrected. The Church of the Holy Sepulchre, in Jerusalem's Old City, is the site of Jesus' tomb and the final station of the Via Dolorosa, the way of suffering. Other notable sites related to Jesus in Jerusalem include the Gethsemane Garden, the Garden Tomb and the Last Supper Room.
