The Jerusalem Bible is an English translation of the Bible which was published in 1966 by Darton, Longman & Todd. The Jerusalem Bible is a Roman Catholic Bible approved by the Catholic Bishops' Conference of England and Wales. The Bible is used in most of the English-speaking world. The Jerusalem Bible also contains the deuterocanonical and the 66 others which are found in Protestant Bibles. The Jerusalem Bible is named so as it was first translated into French in 1956 at the École Biblique in Jerusalem.
