Israel Museum in Jerusalem
Considered Israel's leading museum, the Israel Museum is located on Giv'at Ram, adjacent to the Israeli Knesset, the Bible Lands Museum and the Hebrew University. It was founded in 1965, and contains extensive collections of European, classic and modern art, Judaic history, archeology and more. The famous Shrine of the Book, home to the Dead Sea Scrolls, is also on site. The Israel Museum is also renowned for its impressive Youth Wing, and its magnificent sculpture garden offer a breathtaking view over the city of Jerusalem.
