The Great Synagogue in Jerusalem
The Great Synagogue, located on King George Street in downtown Jerusalem, is one of the largest and grandest synagogues in the city of Jerusalem. The Great Synagogue was built in 1982, and is adjacent to Haichal Shlomo and the Yeshurun Synagogue. Famous for its stained glass windows and Judaic art collection, the Great Synagogue attracts many visitors on the Sabbath and on Jewish high holidays. King George Street is located in the heart of Jerusalem, connecting the neighborhood of Rechavia with Ben Yehuda Street and Jaffa Road.
