Dormition Cemetery in Jerusalem
Mount Zion includes several cemeteries belonging to various Christian denominations such as the Armenian cemetery, Greek Catholic cemetery and the Latin Catholic cemetery which is adjacent to the Dormition Abbey. Oskar Schindler, a prominent German industrialist who saved the lives of over 1000 Jews during the Holocaust, is buried here. He was given the title of "Righteous among the Nations" – an honorific title given by the State of Israel to non-Jews who saved Jews from the Nazi extermination of the Second World War. He died in 1974 and was buried on Mount Zion as he requested. .
