City of David in Jeruslaem
The City of David is an archeological site, located on the ruins of Jerusalem's oldest neighborhood. Currently part of the Silwan area of East Jerusalem, the City of David has been dated back to the Bronze Age, and was also part of the city of Jerusalem during the First Temple and Second Temple periods. Visits to the City of David offer insight into ancient Jerusalem, including the Kidron River- an important source of water in the time of King David. The City of David is widely referenced in the Old and New Testaments.
