The Calvary, or Golgotha, is the site of Jesus' crucifixion as described in the Gospels. The Calvary is found at two sites in Jerusalem

1. Within the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, and is considered to be one of the most important stations of the 14 Stations of the Cross. The Calvary is reached by a long, winding staircase within the Holy Sepulchre Church, which was originally constructed in 325 A.D.

2. Outside the Garden Tomb where many non-Catholic Christians believe lies the true site of Christ's crucifixion (known as 'Gordon's Calvary')
